Here’s Will. He is a rugby player that severely sprained his ankle a few months ago. It put him out of the season and on crutches for about 6 – 8 weeks.
He carried on training even when on crutches, as we always found ways to exercise.
Now off the crutches we have been working on rehabilitating his foot to be match fit again.
What he is doing here are multi-plane lunges, meaning we are training his foot / feet /legs to get used to moving in all directions which is imperative in rugby.
Just after one session of this he felt improvement.
These exercises can also help Will stretch and strengthen the required muscles to improve agility in the game.
Will is progressing quickly and should be ready for pre-season in a couple weeks.
Injured and still training, what’s your excuse?
