Ever get MUSCLE CRAMP in a game or while training?
Excessive sweating causes loss of sodium.
Taking in too much salt, dehydration and a shortage of potassium can all cause cramps.
How to avoid?
Keep up with your flexibility. Stay hydrated.
Keep on top of your potassium and sodium levels by consuming:
– Sea salt
– Tinned veg
– Fish and meat
– Ready-made sauces and condiments
– Processed meats
– Fruits and fruit juices
– Unprocessed cereals
Have all of these foods in your diet in a week by week basis.
If you suffer with regular cramps I would recommend on match/training day consume fruit, veg, bread, porridge before commencing exercise.
