The Role Of the Liver

22nd October 2017Rhys Owen
Most people won’t really be interested in what the liver is about, but it is extremely important to understand it as much as possible for a healthy lifestyle and improve fitness.

It is the largest gland in the human body weighing around 1.4kg.

It is easily one of the most complex.

It processes almost every class of nutrient and is responsible for the balance of cholesterol in the blood stream.

The main functions of the liver are:
– Storage of vitamins
– Production of bile
– Detoxification of substances such as alcohol, drugs and some poisons.
– Control of blood sugar levels

Try avoid abusing the liver on a daily basis. Always give a few days recovery after a few drinks or heavy nights.

The constant abuse can lead to many chronic diseases.

Think Safe, Think Health.
